I was walking Kiko this afternoon when we found a grasshopper on the trail that we were on. I had seen grasshoppers before, but never had a camera with me.
I didn't have a macro lens, but I did have a long/telephoto lens. This lens was the more appropriate and useful one to use without scaring it away because Kiko saw the grasshopper and wanted to pounce/capture it. I didn't want Kiko to jump on it and take a dead grasshopper home with bug blood all over her mouth.
