Relay For Life

Relay For Life "is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease." This isn't for any specific kind of cancer, but this helps raise funds and awareness to those who were affected by cancer.

In June of 2010 at the local high school, there will be a Relay For Life here in the town that I live in. We have this event at the end of June every year, however, I haven't participated in the event since I don't know anyone who were survivors or lost the battle to cancer. The event volunteer workers have already started putting up purple ribbons all over town to help bring awareness.
